EURO 2012: Wroclaw - stadium

The City Stadium in Wroclaw is an arena built especially for Euro 2012. The UEFA officials were stunned by the stadium and have given it the highest stadium category.

The object is situated in district called Maślice. The arena was projected by “JSK Architekci”. The City Stadium in Wrocław is the home venue for local team called Śląsk. The arena is able to host 44 thousand spectators.

The stadium has fitness center, gym, office spaces, conference rooms, restaurant, nightclub, fun shop, casino and more.

There are 102 places for disabled people, and also 50 places for those who have eyesight problems. The total cost of the stadium has reached over 200 million euros. There are two large outdoor screens each of 65,5m².

The architects have taken into consideration some of the travel problems. That’s why they designated the stadium within the best solutions for integrated place, where people can wait for a tram, bus or leave their cars in an outside parking (park&ride).

During the Euro 2012 tournament this stadium will host three of the group games.
