EURO 2012: Poznan entertainment and catering

2012-04-13 3:00

Poznań is a right choice for party lovers. Poznań is considered at the very forefront of electro and dance music in Poland, you can't miss the nights out at the likes of Cute, Kukabura and SQ Club.

The Rynek (Main Square) is the centre of the action, and during the warmer months the heart of Poznań is crowded. Places like Tapas, Pod Minogą, Lizard King and Brovaria blur the lines between restaurant, bar, and club and provide for many a legendary late night out.

Whereas the Rynek can rightfully be considered the central hub of Poznan's nightlife, there's plenty of venues scattered elsewhere in the Old Town for those prepared to delve.

With Poznan's large student population you'll find decent laid-back drinking dens. Check out Kisielice, Dragon and Czytelnia (ul. Święty Marcin 69) for some authentic artsy anarchy.

Other favourites with party-goers of all kinds include Proletariat, the obligatory Commie-themed bar, The Dubliner (ul. Marcin 80/82), the obligatory Irish bar and Tuba (ul. Male Grabary 6).

Finally if you're jazz music fan then Blue Note (ul. Kosciuszki 76), Sushi Jazz Sarp (Stary Rynek 56) and Czerwony Fortepian (ul. Wroniecka 18) are the places worth vistiting.
